Many activities of the Lemont Village Association provide opportunities for residents of Lemont to get involved.
- Beginning with the Plant Sale in May, we always welcome people to be sales staff and to provide perennials from their gardens to sell.
- The Strawberry Festival recruits strawberry preparers, ice cream scoopers, strawberry servers, many cake bakers, set up and clean up crews, and more for a fun-filled afternoon in June. - The summer Friday evening Concerts on the Village Green are a popular activity for families. You are welcome to bring a picnic, bottle of wine, and join a crowd of music lovers to enjoy music of all genre's in an outdoor setting. You'll need a blanket or chairs for seating, and we need volunteers to prepare and sell lemonade to concert goers.
- The Village-wide Yard Sale means that YOU have a sale in your yard or garage. LVA advertises and you can donate a portion of your profits to the LVA.
- Gourmet Granary Dinner volunteers help clean the buildings before the dinner, set up chairs and tables, set and decorate tables, help serve the dinner, and clean up afterwards. If we have lots of volunteers then each person has just one job, and has fun meeting others who are helping.
- New committees are forming to explore the possibility of a Farmers' Market at the LVA property and another to brainstorm for new fundraising projects. Call or email if you are interested. Thanks!
